Rubberduck Exclusive
Director
Jamie Lane
Jamie directs comedy commercials. He has directed for such clients including Coca Cola, Sony Ericsson, BMW, McDonalds, Mars, Wrigley’s and O2 to name but a few. His success is largely due to his talents in directing natural, fluid performances with interesting casting, combining this with subtle and realistic humour. Jamie is already carving out a niche for himself in the competitive world of commercials. He has won two Lions at Cannes to show for it. Jamie directs both subtle and broad humour; developing very specific looks for each spot he works on. The two Bronze Lions from Cannes were for the very progressive and multi-faceted campaign created by McCann-Erickson London for Skcin. The PSA warned people of the horrendous effects of skin cancer through an infomercial-style spot for a tanning product that promises the tanning salon look right from your computer screen. The thought being that anybody who visits the website to learn about this fake product needs to be informed about the dangers of Skin Cancer – quite clever if you think about it. Jamie keeps busy working shooting in different countries all over Europe and Asia. His eye & passion for the camera also sees him unveil his unique & quirky “collection” of stills adding a new element to his showreel.
