Niall O'Brien

Niall O’Brien is an Irish-born photographer and director based in Los Angeles. After studying fine art photography at the Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, he spent over a decade in London, developing a distinctive style across commercial and documentary work. Rooted in documentary, his storytelling focuses on raw, human experience, blending fiction and non-fiction with an emphasis on authenticity. His work has been exhibited internationally and awarded widely. In 2015, he co-wrote and directed A Message From Tar Creek, and has since directed music videos for Foals and Breton. His commercial credits include Canon, Nike, Adidas, Levi Strauss & Co., San Miguel, and Persil, alongside work connected to the TV series Legends and projects with London’s Metropolitan Police. He continues to work across Europe and the US on both commercial and personal projects.
